AI-powered HS code classification, tariff monitoring, and customs document generation. Use the dashboard for bulk workflows or the REST API to integrate directly into your pipeline.

What is Dutiable?

Dutiable is a customs classification platform for e-commerce sellers. It uses AI to assign Harmonized System (HS) codes to your products, calculates applicable duties for EU, US, and UK markets, and monitors your catalog for tariff changes.

You can use Dutiable through the dashboard (upload a CSV, review results, approve classifications) or via the REST API (Business plan) to integrate classification directly into your Shopify, WooCommerce, or internal order management pipeline.

HS codes explained

The Harmonized System (HS) is an internationally standardized system of names and numbers to classify traded products. Used by customs authorities in 200+ countries, it determines the duty rate applied when goods cross borders.

Heading 8518 — Microphones, headphones, amplifiers

Subheading .30 — Headphones and earphones

.20 — Further specification

The first 6 digits are internationally harmonized. Digits 7–10 are country-specific (EU uses 8-digit CN codes, US uses 10-digit HTS, UK uses 10-digit UK Global Tariff). Dutiable returns all three alongside the base 6-digit code.

Confidence scores

Every classification comes with a confidence score (0–100) indicating how certain the AI is.
