1. Who we are

Dutiable ("we", "us", "our") is a customs compliance platform operated by Dutiable.io. We help e-commerce sellers classify products under the Harmonized System (HS) and monitor tariff changes.

2. Data we collect

  • Account data — name and email address from Google OAuth sign-in.
  • Product data — CSV files and product names you upload for classification. We use this data solely to provide the service.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, classification results, for service improvement.
  • Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe. We never store card numbers.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide HS code classification and tariff monitoring services.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To send transactional emails (job completion, tariff change alerts).
  • To improve accuracy of our AI classifier using anonymised aggregate data.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Data storage

Data is stored in a Turso (libSQL) database hosted in the EU (AWS eu-west-1). Product names submitted for classification may be retained in an anonymised result cache to avoid redundant AI calls.

5. Third-party services

  • Google OAuth — for authentication.
  • Stripe — for payment processing.
  • Google Gemini API — product names are sent to Google's AI API for classification. See Google's privacy policy for details.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.

6. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@dutiable.io. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use a single session cookie set by Better Auth to keep you logged in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
